1, PE pipe corrosion resistance characteristics

Polyethylene is an inert material and is resistant to attack by a variety of chemical media. No electrochemical corrosion, no anti-corrosion layer.

2, PE pipe does not leak characteristics

Polyethylene pipe mainly adopts weld connection (hot melt connection or electric melt connection), which essentially guarantees the identity of interface material, structure and pipe body itself, and realizes the integration of joint and pipe. The experimental results show that the tensile strength and bursting strength of the joint are higher than that of the pipe itself. Compared with rubber joint or other mechanical joint, there is no joint leakage problem.

3. Characteristics of high toughness of PE pipe

Polyethylene pipe is a kind of high toughness pipe, its elongation at break is generally more than 500%, the uneven settlement of the pipe base adaptability is very strong. Scratches cause stress concentration in the material and lead to pipe failure. When trenchless technology is adopted, it is difficult to avoid scratches, whether it is laying new pipes or replacing old pipes. Recent studies have proved that PE80 grade polyethylene pipe has a better ability to resist slow crack growth and scratch resistance, and PE100 polyethylene pipe has a better ability to resist scratch. Therefore, polyethylene pipe is widely used in trenchless construction technology.

6, PE pipe has the characteristics of good fast crack transfer resistance

Rapid pipeline cracking is a kind of accidental accident, the crack grows rapidly at a certain speed, causing tens of meters or even thousands of meters of pipeline rupture instantly, the resulting consequences are disastrous. As early as the 1950s, there were several rapid cracking accidents on gas pipes in the United States. In practice, no rapid cracking of polyethylene gas pipe has been found. In recent years, a large number of international studies have been conducted on the rapid cracking of pipes, and the results show that the ability of polyethylene pipes to resist the rapid transmission of cracks ranks among the best.
